PRE-ORDERS WILL BE OPEN UNTIL SEPTEMBER 21st. ONLY EXPECT A SINGLE BATCH.
Tired of your Remington 870 being a purely functional, utilitarian piece of kit? Want to add weight to it purely for the rule of cool? Look no further!
This is the M970 kit for Model 870 shotguns. Designed to be an easy-to-install furniture kit, you can convert your normal 870 into a mean, alien slaying machine in less than 10 minutes. Simply remove your stock and pump grip and replace them with the ones provided. The iron sights are equipped with glow in the dark polymer. Additionally, the kit is ready to accept LEDs (not included) if you want to power your iron sights.
This kit is designed to fit 4+1 Model 870's. It will not fit 6+1 models or 7+1 models. Extended magazine tubes can be installed on 4+1 models to get larger capacity.
Provided is an image template showing some key dimensions. The front barrel bracket that the heat shield is installed to is mounted 12.75" from the edge of the receiver. Your barrel needs to be .825" in diameter at that point for the bracket to be properly installed. The base gun used in this kit is a Model 870 Synthetic Tactical . If you have an 870 with a 4+1 magazine tube installed but don't have a barrel that fits the criteria, you can purchase one HERE. Barrels are incredibly easy to swap on the 870.
The kit will be printed mostly in Nylon 12 via the MJF Process and dyed black. Photographs are of FDM printed prototypes and not indictive of final quality. MJF Nylon 12 is nearly as strong as injection molded plastic, with a beautiful surface finish. Layer lines are virtually non-existent, and Nylon 12 provides a heat resistant, impact resistant material. Most polymer firearms are made of some formula of Nylon, such as Nylon 12 or Nylon 6.

Pictured above is the surface finish quality you can expect.
There are two variants of this kit being offered. One has a rubberized buttpad, the other will be solid plastic. The rubberized buttpad is more premium and cost significantly more to produce. Given the nature of this product, some may prefer a solid one. Pictured below are examples of rubberized parts.
PRE-ORDERS WILL BE OPEN UNTIL SEPTEMBER 21st.
After pre-orders are closed, I will begin production of the kits. It will take 3-4 weeks for the kits to be produced. Once the kits are produced, they will begin shipping immediately. Shipping estimates are late October through early November.
This kit will likely only have a single run, so if you want one, be sure to hop in early! All pre-orders are guaranteed a kit.
